At InkDay, privacy is not a feature. It is the foundation of everything we build.
Your journal entries, reflections, and personal thoughts belong to you and only you. We built InkDay to operate entirely on your device, with no cloud sync, no tracking, and no data collection.
What information we collect
From the app itself: Nothing
InkDay does not collect, transmit, or store any of your journal entries or personal data. Everything you write stays on your device. We have no access to your reflections, and we never will.
From the waitlist: Email address only
If you join our waitlist through this website, we collect only your email address. This is used solely to notify you when InkDay launches and send you occasional updates about the app.
How we use your information
Waitlist emails: We use your email address to:
- Send you a confirmation that you joined the waitlist
- Notify you when InkDay is available for download
- Send occasional updates about the app (you can unsubscribe anytime)
In-app data: None. Your journal entries never leave your device.
Data storage and security
Journal entries: All journal entries are stored locally on your iPhone using secure on-device storage. Your data is protected by your device's encryption and security features.
Waitlist emails: Email addresses are stored securely with our email service provider and are protected with industry-standard security measures.
Third-party services
The app: InkDay does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. No third parties have access to your data.
This website: We may use a third-party email service provider to manage our waitlist. These providers are GDPR-compliant and do not use your data for any purpose other than sending emails on our behalf.
Your rights
Under GDPR and other privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we have about you (your email address)
- Rectification: Request correction of your email address
- Erasure: Request deletion of your email from our waitlist
- Data portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent: Unsubscribe from our emails at any time
